Default trailer brakes controller wiring harness

I just purchased an 04 durango and i am looking under the dash for the connector to wire in my trailer brake controller. I can not seem to find it in there, the owners manual claims it should be a blue connector "above the brake pedal". Has anyone else here found and used it, was it easy to find/see in there?

I do have the towing package BTW

Well i have kinda answered my owned question

Turns out that what the Dodge dealer i bought the durango from claims was a towing package, when i was looking at the vehicle, Is in fact only an aftermarket hitch and trailer light wiring plug.

So i am not very happy about that, and i think we are going to be making them install the factory towing package wiring harness into the vehicle.

I just had the factory hitch and wirring installed on out 07 Durango. I didn't want to go after market just for the problem you are encountering. Mine has the seven and four prong built in it's nice and I will be giving it a test run today. Haul the ATV up north about 120 miles. Good luck with your problem I would guess the wiring harness would be just under $200.

When you had the dealer install the factory wiring what did it cost you because I have an 04 SLT with the Hemi it doesn't have the towing package but it does have all the heavy duty supension and tranny cooler from the factory weird I know I had the dealer print me a build sheet, but back to my question. I plan on installing an after market hitch but I would also like to have the option of the 4 and 7 prong plug so I would need the factory wiring harness installed I was just wondering what it cost for the harness and the install?
