transmission shifting
I bought my wife a new 2007 D hemi. it has done now around 10K. I rarely drive it, but when I do I feel the trans very rough when shifting, especially from 3rd to 2nd. If i am driving at a low speed and the vehicle is in 2nd gear, when I lift my foot off the accelerator and then press again i feel a nodge in the trans.
Can anyone tell me if they have experience the same? it the vehicle designed in such a way. I did ask the dealer, but they were not of much help.

It simply can't figure out what you want it to do. The trans can be adjusted to stay in the right gear longer if needed.
Torque management is telling the trans to shift out of coast but at that speed and where the TPS is telling the trans to go there is a pause. (Just trying to figure it out) The problem with this is it rases hell on the clutch packs. Then again a shift kit would definatly solve this problem.
One thing you could do is test the TPS and make sure it is under the right voltage. This will make sure it is in the right position. OEM settings are ok but, none are right on the money due to casting errors in metal.

I have the same situation with my 2007 Durango Limited. I do not have a Hemi but I notice the bump when I remove my foot from the accelerator and reapply. Sometimes I notice it when i simply remove my foor from the accelerator. Have you learned anything about this situation? Let em know.
Quoting myself with an answer?
I have a 06 D w/4.7, AWD/4WD and it started doing the same. Around 35-40 it will do it as if it not sure what gear it wants to be in. If I accelerate up to 50 mph no problem. Just had the trans serviced took it back because of this they reset it back to the factory setting but it still do it. Any solutions?
I have an 05 SLT 4.7 with about 70,000 miles and it has been doing the same thing since I think about 18,000 miles. The dealer ship tells me that all durango's do the same thing and thats normal.
I think they are fool of it.
They said they checked the diff, the trans, and something else.
They changed the gearbox once, the paperwork said it had worn gears.
This didn't fix the issue, i think the problem is affecting the gearbox.
just waiting for someone to find the fix.

The only thing I don't like about going to the dealer is to them there's nothings wrong unless the check engine light come on. That was the first thing I was asked. I know the light is an indicate that the computer has received a signal somethings not functioning correctly. But those of us that drive everyday knows something is wrong or don't feel right. The other thing is I woud like to see what going on.
Has any one D sound like it's bogging out around 3rd or 4th gear? It's like it shift into the next gear before it has enough rpm for the next gear.
