the start of being in hate with my rango...
so over the last few weeks ive been noticing a rattle coming from the rear end of my rango, now it seems to have moved its way to the front as well and it only seems to be getting worse. i only really notice it when i am going slower over that "wash board" type of road and on bad bumpy roads. when i hit bumps on the road at speed i cant really notice it. the only way to describe the noise is it sounds like a hollow rattle and sounds/feels like the car is going to fall apart, i have heard a few opinions from people saying to look at my sway bar links and bushings. I thought it might be the spare tire, but i checked that and its up there pretty snug. any ideas of what this might be? anyone with similar problems?

do you have side steps or running boards???? I have the side step bars and one came loose and a thumping rattle kind of noise and another thing is check your exhaust from back to front to see if maybe something has come loose.......
Definitely check all your sway bar and control arm bushings. This is the most likely culprit. My wife's Suzuki was making some really bad rattling and I change the bushings and it went away. If the bushings are the slightest bit dry or compressed they can make a lot of noise.
EDIT- I noticed a similar sound on my "new" 05 D. I was having my tires balanced and had my mechanic take a peek. Sure enough the inner control arm bushings are slightly worn.
