Default A question about wheel hub and axle backward compatibility

Okay, the question is whether anyone has tried or heard of any swaps of 04 5 lug axles and wheel hubs into a 1st gen durango to get rid of the annoying 6 lugs? Any info is greatly appreciated and Thank you in advance...

Answer: no

Other than 6x4.5s are harder to find, who cares once you have something you like? At that point, 6 lugs are BETTER than 5 for safety and retaining correct tightness, etc.

I have 5 spoke wheels with 6 lugs. You just can't see the lugs. They look like 5 lug wheels:

You can get 6 to 5 lug wheel adapters. I personally don't like them though.
