Trailer Sway Problems
When I tow my Jayco Jayfeather 23b with my 07 Durango 4.7 I have major sway problems. No matter what I do, the trailer wont stop swaying. I am thinking its the short wheelbase on the Durango and I'm thinking of getting a full size crew cab Ram to fix the problem. I just want to see what you guys think.

The D tows fine when properly configured. Take it to the RV center and have it properly setup. Short wheelbase? Nope.
Did it come with the factory towing package? How much does that Jayco weigh?
Personally, I wouldn't have bought the 4.7l to tow with however. The 5.7L was the superior solution.

The dealer didn't set it right. I've never seen a deal install em right for that matter!
I tow 7300lbs with a 26 foot Salem...... It's not the wheel base consitering mine is smaller than yours I believe. I don't have any sway with 748 tongue weight.
Here is a write up that I just worked on: 2000 Durango Trailering Setup ( 1 2)
What type of WDH do you have?
Tires on your D and pressure?
Tire pressure on the trailer?
How much weight of gear and location?

The hitch is a husky round bar package.
The tires are the stock Goodyear SR-A's.
The tire pressure on the D is right around 40 lbs.
Not sure on the trailer pressure, they were just filled at the dealer when i picked it up.
I'm not sure on the weight of the gear, but when I loaded the trailer I made sure to try and even the weight out all around.

Did you find a solution to this problem? We're having the exact same problem and are wondering if it's the trailer or the Durango.
We have a 2004 Durango 5.7L Hemi and are having major swaying problems with our Jayco Jayflight 24FBS. It only occured at highway speeds, no wind or large trucks passing at the time, city was fine. It did this both empy and loaded with our camping gear. We took it back to the RV dealer, they made some adjustments, checked the tires, and added a sway bar and it didn't help. Now they're going to try a strait-line hitch.
The tow package on the Durango was factory installed. The dry weight on the trailer is about 4800 lbs.
