Red face How do I see codes in a 04 Durango Limited?

I used to own an 05 magnum, and if I needed to see what code was being thrown, I could just flip the key back and forth 3 times and it would display. I tried this several times with my newly purchased 04 Durango Limited and it no worky. I tried the key flip on my sis-n-law's 01 seabring convertible and it worked. Soooo im stumped. Please help.

Default 04 Durango

The key thing works in my 04 Durango as long as the I don't have the trip mileage showing instead of the odometer. It displays the code in the odomerter.

hrmmm...my trip mileage display, compass, temp and all those other goodies are in the overhead console. (where the garage door opener is) the odometer is a permanent sdisplay. if i can toggle it back and forth, i havent figured it out yet.

I can't believe it's not working? Play with some different configurations.

I know. Thats the same way im feeling. The only thing I can think of, is that its not throwing any codes, therefore it wont show anything?

Last resort, go to Autozone and they can show your codes,

^ thats a good idea ^

Most likely there isn't a problem so nothings showing. If it is a hard code it will stay for up to 40 cold starts but it it's tripping a soft code then you need to get it when the light is on. Soft codes can leave no signature in the PCM.
