I have the 4.7L. I have seen a 2mpg increase in my eco. We took a highway trip today to hocking hills and I was amazed to see the eco overhead was reading 20-23.6 most of the way there.. I have never seen it read that high. So if that overhead is even slightly accurate, I have seen an increase in MPG. There is now no question that I have seen an increase in power. SOP Dyno never lies!!..lol.. I did have an odd thing happen last night though. When I first started it after a real good cleaning of the wheels, I got an ABS light, BRAKE light, and after a second the AIRBAG light came on. Followed by the ENGINE light. I checked for a code right then, and recieved U1120. after research I found it was related to the abs sensors possibly. It made sense, so I checked them this morning and found nothing uplugged but I wiggled them all to be sure they were connected and then cleared the computer. Started the car and let it idle for a time (no gas peddle) and shut off and removed Key. I had no problems later in the day when we went on our road trip.! So far I am loving my new truck...

Lightbulb Cold Air Intake

I am thinking about getting a flowmaster cold air intake. I'll be going to Wyoming in December for 9 months. I understandt that the intake draws more air into the engine and cools it resulting in more power and better fuel economy. Since I'll be in a really cold climate would a cold air intake actually help me any or should I wait until I return to Texas? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm new to all this and slowly learning.

I would only buy a cold air intake and other engine modifications in order to gain horsepower and torque. THe marginal increase in MPG is negated by slamming the gas to the floor,

How about some pics of the CAI, if I am going to eliminate the plastic cover I want to see what it looks like.. I am even interested in the CAI with dual filters to both sides.
