Since I have a Gen1, they don't quite compare apparently. If you were to fab your own mounts, obviously they were made to fit up tight. If you are at all handy, fabbing up your own brackets can't be that hard.

I will be getting a set of these for my D soon (running boards coming off.) That is why I knew/thought I knew the answer.

The Gen2 2004-2006 in the photo above has them tucked up tight too so we know it can/could/did work. Maybe FF got a bad set? Maybe the 2007-2009 changed enough to have different mounting holes. My money is that your 2004 would be fine as pictured.

Yea, its still an option because in the pic, they look perfect! Besides, I was thinking if I went that route, I could give my nerf bars to the wife and put them on her durango. That would get me major brownie points, something you can never have too many of. haha

I appreciate your help Indy!

Better yet, ask them what is the number stamped on the hanger and I will confirm if they will fit as in the picture or not. They will go on no problem, but hang lower that the sill and your pinch welds are still visible,

Yea for the time being I went wth your idea and think it looks pretty sharp. I got two rolls of that 3/4 chrome trim for $35 bucks and IMO it looks great. Im still on the hunt for those black plastic moldings but for now Im happy as can be and appreciate the suggestion. Here are some pics of the chrome molding and my new 22" rims on my 04 Durango. Id love to hear what you guys think.

THANKS AGAIN for all the responses and help!!

Eventually, the adhesive that holds that chrome on will fail. BUT...if you can use something that won't fail to hold it in place permanently, IMHO I think you should stick with the chrome. It looks sick.

Finally got the Westin Sport Tubes installed a few weeks ago as I had them for a year or two in my garage. The brakets were incorrect and needed fabricated to fit:

The Durango is dirty.........wish my wife was the same,

FF, Looks just like mine. My tube install was last Saturday. My brackets were perfect matches for factory holes used by the factory running boards. I went to chrome handles too. LOL. Our Ds could be cousins now.

Once I get her waxed, I'll post pix.
