Default Lets play, Name that part.....

Seriously, I need your help. I am bringing this question over from the members Rides area in hopes to get more people to see it and finally find out what the hell this part is. If you look at my first pic, The Gray Durango, I have all the holes from where the OEM black running boards went and I want to cover them up something terrible. People have suggested some great ideas for me to try until I noticed my wife's 06 Durango has exactly what I need and she wont let me steal them. Ive begged her and nothing. You can see on her's, the blue one, that she has the black piece of molding, its just plastic that is connected by some clips and/ or plastic screws. Does anyone know where I can get one of these for my truck? Anyone have one they would sell me?? haha. What the heck is it called and do you think somebody just put that on there themselves? Ive searched and searched but come up with nothing.

Here are the pics:

If anyone knows where I can get this, Id TRULY APPRECIATE!
Thanks in advance

P.S. there is a bigger /better pic of my gray truck in the members rides section.

Have not went there yet. I talked to them on the phone but the guy didnt have a clue what I was talking about. He keep refrencing the OEM black running boards that it came with. I figured Id just wait until my next next oil change that is coming up to show them in person. I was just hoping somebody here would know, heck people here know every other part on these trucks...haha!

I appreciate the reply regardless, THANKS!

That area you want to cover up is called the PINCH WELDS.

I suggest these because they snug up and fit tightly to do just that, cover up the pinch weld area. http://www.westinautomotive.com/page...T_ST-apps.html

Do not buy the sport tubes as they will not fit my model (2007). I have to cut, weld and reshape the hangers in order for them to fit snug agaist the sill. Westin was no help in returning claiming that they fit, which they do, but they hang too low,

Wow! Even though they are listed for the 07, no fit eh? Interesting. Westin has always been very helpful in the modding community. First I have heard of something like that.

They claim they do not make the hangers anymore. The tubes hang about an two inchs below and out from the pinch welds, almost like a nerf bar. I will post pictures of them once I reinstall them and correct the hangers (before and after shot),

Thanks guys! After seeing those pics form Indy I was all set to order those. "IF" they would have fit like the picture, they would be perfect. I appreciate fascistfaction saving me some dollars. I need to try the junk yards. I saw another Durango today with the same black plastic molding as my wife's. The thing that sucks for me is that 99% of the salvage yards in my area are only open during the week, or only for a few hours on sat. Makes it hard to get over to them.
I just put some new wheels on tonight so it will help take "My" attention away from those ugly holes but the search continues. I will post some pics of the new wheels tomorrow, I love them and think they look really sharp. 22" rims guys, they look amazing and actually ride really smooth. Surprising because there isnt much tire but you cant tell riding in it. I was really afraid it would feel like riding on rocks but was happily surprised. Would have took pics tonight but it was already dark when I finished. Stay tuned...haha
