Unhappy 2004 Durango Inside Lights Not Going Off Recall

Hi,
I have a 2004 Durango. Yesterday, while driving to town, all of the inside lights suddenly came on and I could NOT turn them off. I took it to the dealer and they now have it and will look at it tomorrow. They acted like they had no clue what the problem was. Well, when i returned home in the loaner, I got online and did a search for the problem and found information regarding this same exact problem where owners actually had fires in their Durangos when the lights would not go off. A recall for the problem was mentioned and it was then I remembered getting notice for that recall and I KNOW I took it in. Apparently whatever they did to it didn't work. What I would like to know is, is their now a solution to this problem? Can they repair whatever is wrong so this will NEVER happen again? I cannot risk driving down the road and having the inside of my car suddenly catch fire.
Thanks.

Yes the dash lights staying on is the previous fire recall symptom too.

Could have failed again. Let them fix it.

Thanks IndyD -- so how many times can it malfunction -- isn't there a permanent solution? Dang, that's an awful risk! Heard of one guy it happened to WHILE driving. suddenly there was a fire in the front seat.

Was both recall's done on the cluster? first one was c43 and then G07. But you will to take it to the dealer to have the cluster replaced.
