06 Durango will start if givin gas, but shuts off when removing foot from gas pedal??
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I have a problem with my 06 Durango. Some times it starts right up. Sometimes it just turns over, but if you give it gas while starting, it will start. Sometimes though after you give it gas and get it started as soon as you leave up or remove your foot from the acclerator it shuts right off. I had it to the dodge garage last monday for the same problems and they said it needed a tune up, so they supposedly tuned it up and said it was fine. Not even a week later it is back to doing the same thing. I had this same problem back in the spring of 09 and they put a new starter in it, and told me that was what was wrong with it. I have had it with the car and with them. Once it has run for a while it will start right up at least so far it has. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? The car does have 59,000 miles on it. Any ideas would be great. Thanks Gina PS. In order to get home from work today the only thing that worked was kepping my foot on the gas, and the other foot on the brake and putting it in to nuetral, then it kept runing so I was able to make it home.
