Hi,

I have an 05 Durango. I drove my car this morning to my son's hockey game and when I went to get back in to drive home, the key would not turn. I tried everything and nothing worked. Any ideas??

 

Try to turn the steering wheel,

Did that and it didn't work. In researching the web yesterday I found NUMEROUS people with same problem!! They said when the key is in the ignition, bang it straight in about 3 times...and it worked. It's a temporary fix to get it to the dealer and fork over big bucks for an ignition cylinder. Waiting to talk to dealer today to hear the damage. Thank you though.
