If you have a Durango that has the console in between the 2nd row seats, can the console be removed and a middle seat installed in its place (the same middle seat that many Durangos came factory with instead)?

 

The second row bucket seats were an option on some models (standard on mine), so I would imagine that they can be swapped for a bench wth no console,

I don't need to swap for a bench, only for the center section. The left and the right seats are identical to ones that come in Durango's with a center seat. The only difference is they have a console between them instead of a seat. I just want to remove the console, and add that center seat.

Did you ever get an answer to this Silver? I'd like to do the reverse - remove the center seat section to make it two captain's chairs without adding a console. One think I know if the captain's chairs will not have inboard armrests.

 

The dealership said it would be possible, but the cost of going to the bench seat was around $2000. We ended up finding an Aspen that had the seat config we wanted. But according to them, it is possible.

 

Good to know. In my scenario the cost should be nill cause I want to remove the center seat, not buy one.
