Default 2005 Nav system replacement

I'm looking to buy a new (aftermarket) in-dash Nav system for my '05 Durango (with VES currently installed). I don't have the hands-free voice setup, I do have the steering wheel controls and use them regularly. I added a back-up camera to my truck, but I don't like having 2 monitors (one for the stereo and the other for the camera). This is why I'm "upgrading" my stereo.

That all being said, do most after market double din stereos "work" with the current ammenities that I use with the VES system (DVD, GPS, Audio, B/U Camera)? Or do I need to look for something specific?

Thanks in advance,
dbl

I would ask the local shop about the options as this thread suggests:

FF,

Thanks for the info. I really did search for answers here, but unfortunately didn't come across that thread. Thanks again.

if you want DD, mods will have to be made, unless you have factory nav, then you will just need a dash kit.

as far as SW controls, there is a canbus adapter you will need along with the regular SW adapter for whatever brand HU you go with.

You can integrate with the rear DVD system (ive done a few), but i would recommend a professional do the wiring.

as far as what "works", anything does. Most aftermarket is going to be semi-generic, and it will be up to the specific integration pieces you by to adapt it to your vehicle.
