I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen and have an alarm/key fob issue. The keyfob only seems to work immediately after I close the door. If I wait a few minutes after I arm it I can't disarm it. I can disarm the alarm with the keyfob only if I do it a few seconds after I arm it. I also noticed that if I exit the car and wait for the interior lights to turn off and try to turn the alarm on with the keyfob, it will not arm the alarm??? It seems to only arm when the interior lights are on??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is the alarm factory or aftermarket?

Factory alarm and I did change the batteries in it. Maybe programming issue?

 

I would have the dealer look at it if it is still under warranty,
