Default Awd troubles

I have a 06 Durango with the Awd/4 Lock option. I have 74000kms on it and 4 winters. I have begun to notice that when turning sharply in reverse I have a noticeable binding in the rear wheels. It is worse when it it is colder but seems to disappear after you drive for a substantial time.
Dealer cant re-create problem and has no ideas for the problem. Problems disappear when the temp warms up and of course it gets looked at inside a heated shop. They say that maybe something was frozen but not sure what. I realize that they cant correct a problem that isnt there when they look at it but it will do it the next morning of course. Something is not right as it has never done this in 4 winters of driving. Looking for any thoughts as I feel the Awd option is working improperly and maybe am I in 4 lock most of the time now? Thats what it feels like when turning sharply but no lights come on.
Thanks in advance

I would think you are in 4x4 as it causes axle bind when turning sharply due to the wheels arc and traveling at the same speed instead of the outer wheels spinning faster. The trnsfer case needs serviced,
