I just got a 2005 DURANGO SLT--is it possible to add the power rear hatch mechanism to my SUV? What parts would be needed and is it even do-able ?

 

I would guess that is is possible, but you would need the rear motor, new rear panel (where motor is covered) and possible a new rear hatch,

You can gut an 08 or 09 at the junk yard that has rear power hatch and use all the parts. It will fit however you may need to fabricate a mounting bracket under the interior body panels so pay attention to how they are all connected.

Same *** end on your 05 and the 09, so it is just a function of time, trouble and dollars.
