Does anyone know the average? Once the low fuel warning light goes on, about how many miles have I left?

Given: MPG during timeline = 20mpg
2005 Durango Limited - 5.7Hemi -4x4
Thanks.

I would say about 20 miles +/-. Something people don't consider about driving with the fuel below 1/4 tank is the fact that the pump itself is submerged in the fuel which acts as a cooling agent. When the fuel level gets below 1/4 tank, this exposes the electric pump and causes it to heat up shortening its life. Just food for thought.

What he said. Between 1/2 and 1/4 I fill EVERYTHING up. Never have let my vehicles get below 1/4 for sure. I know that does not answer the question, but my driving habbits dont allow me to know the answer. I simply will not push an electric fuel pump to that extreme heat level. It needs to be submerged in gas at all times.

When mine first comes on I have been near a gas station and the most it will take it 20-21 gallons. That leaves 6-7 gallons left 75-100 miles
