Default 2006 Durango Limited: No fluid coming out of Windshield Washers

My wifes 06 Durango recently stopped shooting fluid out of the windshield washers, both front and rear. I thought it may have been froze up, as when I checked it to add more fluid it was iced up, but, after going on a 3 hr trip with it, the water was lukewarm, but still nothing when pressing the buttons. I hear no sound either, though, I can't remember if it does make a sound when you turn them on.

Anyway, does anyone have an info on what I should check to see if I do have a problem? Also, if say its the motor or something, how much does this run to have it fixed?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Once it thaws, drain and put real windshield washer fluid in there and hope that the ice didn't swell and break something.

More than likely, the hose still is frozen.

Also, use only quality liquids in the squirter, NO WATER. Even gas station gallons should be good to -0 or better.

I use quality stuff for windshield washer fluid. Same stuff I use on my 300C with no issues.

Is there anything you can put in to open up a frozen line?

Unless you live in Antarctica, quality stuff would not have frozen in the first place. Someone, somewhere added water.

You can open up a frozen line by letting it thaw. That's it. Maybe a nice reason to drive to Florida.

He stated his was iced up in the original post. How is a bad pump going to allow the setup to freeze? Name: icon_bangwall.gif

He stated is WAS iced up. Now when fluid verified not frozen and actually warm - still not working!

If ya can't hear the pump and washers no working, probably the pump. The pump is very easy to break...

Or not.
