Oil pressure light came on and stayed on ,had towed.They replaced the oil pump. I was wondering now apon startup oil light stays on ,but if i shutdown and startup again it does go out.any ideas?

Who installed the oil pump for you? Local shop, $tealership? I'd take it back to them and make them fix it, since it shouldn't be doing that if it was installed properly.

WOW.....Did they take any steps to verify that there was no oil pressure? The 04-05 Hemi engines were plagued by faulty oil sending units. I replaced the sender on my 04 not long ago for operating the same way.

The first start of the day, light would stay on. If you shut it off and restarted, light would be off. Subsequent starts for that day light would function normally.

How many miles on your D?

I agree that whatever shop replaced the pump owes you further work to finish the job. My bet is that they will find that the oil pump was ok to start with,and that they should have started with the $22 sender to start with.
