Interior lights won't come on when door open...
i checked the fuses.. none of them are blown, so that isnt my problems.. i talked to a friend of mine whos a master tech at the dealer, apparently the recall bulletin that tell s them how to repair the cluster issue has the wrong wire listed for them to jump, thats why the lights stop working
Ok update:
Although putting a new fuse fixed it, the light sometimes doesnt come on randomly. Not sure what the issue is (maybe some kind of short?)
Anyone knows if the instrument cluster thing has warranty. Mine was done less that a year ago.

It is undoubtedly the cluster. On my 2004 Durango I had 1 instrument cluster go @ 25,000 miles in 2006 and it was replaced under warranty, before the recall was even issued. After recall dealership took in and "tested/reflashed" the "new" replacement cluster (oddly a high-line cluster in my SLT).
Almost immediately the lights would not work when driver door opened. Dealer stated it was a driver door switch integrated into lock. I chose not to address as I don't like getting illuminated when I get into or out of my car in the dark anyway. Fast forward two more years and all the interior lights are screwed up and the instrument panel lights work intermittently. Dealer confirms bad instrument cluster but Chrysler will not authorize replacement under recall because it was "fixed" in 2008.
Here is the thing- if it was really "fixed" it would not be out now. Chrysler has identified the failure as being in an integrated circuit in the panel. A properly manufactured integrated circuit (a fused circuit no less ) is not a part that is subject to wear or failure unless subjected to immersion or some other extreme situation (fire, EMP).
Chrysler should be embarrassed that their replacement clusters and recall "fixes" were so short lived and should be working on a permanent fix, while replacing their band-aid solution at no cost to the owners.
Just my two cents...

So far I have put about 3 new 15A fuse and they all blew within 5 minutes. So could it still be a faulty cluster? I called the dealership and of course they said it cannot be the cluster since it was replaced. But if I bring it there, they told me they dont know how long it will take them to figure it out..i mean seriously?? Why nt check the instrument cluster??
