Every other time my wife sees one of those, she comments about how nice they look, so she'd probably take your side against me. No worries.

I like the iridium plugs as well. The only reason I didn't use them in the in the Ram last time is because, at that time, we had just bought the house and were a little tight on the budget, so coppers were the order of the day (NGK V-powers work really well in the older Magnum V8s).

I didn't put them in the Dingo when we bought it because I hadn't performed any research yet to figure out which plugs were best, so stock copper Champions went in.

It's cost of Ownership is A LOT more expensive than a Honda Civic, I've seen a lot of ppl fails to understand it.
Yup, we still see that in the 2nd Gen Ram section even, people trading in a ricer or other car for a 1500, and not realizing all the extra maintenance a larger 4x4 needs and the extra things that can go wrong.

The 4.7L engines do not like platinum plugs as far as I remember reading,

i have noticed rough idle going through car washes water is leaking on to the electrical on the throttle body and spark plug wires and water running into the spark plugs where the spark plug wire goes, i have built a dam so no water leaks in and no problem now with rough idling
