Default Transmition acts wierd

Hello friends, i need help here, my D acted pretty wierd the other day:
  • Trany starts acting like shifting gears up and down going 40mph.
  • when i stoped it stalled.
  • it started only when depressing the accelator pedal.
  • drove for 30mins acting tha same.
  • after that everything was like nothing happened.
  • week after i got U1120 code.
please i need a pro advise , dont wanna end up espending thous of dlls to fix nothing with the dealer.

my D has 130kmiles, trany oil seems used but normal, i heard that could be my thorttle body, this is the HEMI so the Tbody is full servo-electronic, its gonna be tough dlls replace it, i would like to be sure this is the preblem before buy it.

Do the key dance to see if any codes show up on the odometer (turn key from off to on - not start- three times),

Thank, only those codes, today that happened again, after driving with out cruise control for 2 hrs then the traffic stoped me and my durango stalled, it wasnt happening before i guess becouse i drive most of the time with cruise control ON, i guess something gets "tired" when i use the pedal on and off for long
*PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS, I HAVE BEEN READING AND I SAW THAT IT COULD BE A "TRAVEL PEDAL SENSOR" ISSUE, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

OZ:

You are correct that your 5.7 engine does not have a separate Throttle Position Sensor like the 4.7 engine.

How old is your battery? A classic symptom of a dying battery is having to hold pressure on the gas pedal to keep it running.

Have your battery load tested BEFORE you throw a bunch of money at the issue. Replace the battery if it comes back the least bit flaky.

Ill will have my battery tested at autozone tomorrow, lets see what happens, i read that also it could be an "Accelator pedal position sensor" if the battery tests ok, i will replace this sensor but the manual says to have it change at the dealer becouse i has to be "learned" by the ECU with and especial scanner tool at the dealer, is this true?, anybody?

Let us know how the battery test goes. I would think if you were having issues with your throttle control system, the ETC light on your dash would be coming on.

It is in the middle with the speedo and looks like a circle with two slashes.

Don, nothing come out on the dashboard when this happens and some times it will restart only with the pedal depress....
yesterday i drove 2 hrs most of the time with cruise control on and the issue did not show....I will have the battery tested today, but this issue is been since 3 months ago, wouldnt the battery be dead by now?

I am really concern about this issue, tomorrow i have to drive for 7 hrs to southerncalifornia i got AAA just in case, hope i dont need it

Thankyou

*measured: 568 CCA
*rated 800 CCA
* temp 72f
testcode 19s7202g9n8

battery fails to meet indsutry accepted standars and shoul be replaced...

I had it replace for 100 dlls.....was this the real issue?

Very possible. Dodge/Chrysler vehicles (maybe even most makes) do weird things when the batteries get weak.
