Default 2005 Dodge Durango - Radio Problems

Hello

A few days ago my radio speakers stopped working, however the radio appears to work, as it is showing the channels and song wording is scrolling across the front. This radio is the standard one that come with the truck. Does anyone have a solution? Or have the same problem

Thanks any help would be Great!

Did your Durango come with headphones? It may be transmitting to them instead of the external speakers,

Default Durango - Radio

Thanks for the reply

The durango did not come with headphones, nor is there any place to plug in headphones.

Thanks though

The headphones work via RF so there are no wires or ports to plug them into the vehicle, but only on the DVD / radio version.

My 2004 has the same problem. Leaking windshield shorted out amplifier (Infinity system); on an 04' it is located behind the passenger front kick panel and I think 05' is same place. Do you have the "premium" sound system? Cannot determine if it is fused or not, but by the description of your problem you also have an amplifier problem.

Thanks for the reply, as my windshield was leaking water into the vent a few days prior. I can't wait to test this out.

Thanks again

If you happen to find out where the amplifier fuse is located (if there is one) please let me know!

Thanks...

Default same as others

I am sad to see that people did not give a solution to their problem as I have the same one. Radio appears to work fine. Wife reported water on right side dash the night before radio stopped working. I was hopping to get an answer on this one. Ill investigate what other proposed and report back.

I have been getting water on my dash as well, seems to be coming from the screw cap for the grab handle. My radio did so a loud poping noise and quit working few times but came back to life..

I am having trouble locating the correct fuse for the amplifier. I checked F7 which is a 25A mini but it seemed fine. Is anyone able to verify the correct fuse site for the AMP on an 05 durango?
