temp control wiring harness
i just bought a 2008 Chrysler Aspen signature series with awd and a hemi. just a yuppy version of a Durango. it only has the standard temp controls and not the auto climate control for all three zones. my question is...when they wire the vehicles do they wire them all the same? i want to get the zoned climate control and ditch the conventional temp controls. or would there be wiring issues and more headache than its worth?
thanks

Kenny:
Congrats on the Aspen purchase. Since they only made them from 2007-2009, you kind of have a rare specimen there. I have not seen many on the road here in Ohio.
Re the climate control question. I think you will find that adding the auto control head would require a different harness, as well as different/additional sensors for it.
When I bought both my 01 and 04 Durango, I specifically steer away from the auto climate systems in the belief that they could be more trouble prone in the long haul.
The control head itself is not too much, but I think the swap would require more than just the automatic control unit.

Thanks Don. I was definitely concerned about the harness being different. It sounds like my suspicions were right. Oh well. Like you said less to worry about in the long haul. Might be easier to just change my wife instead of the climate system! ha.
