Default Spark plug change problem?

I just wanted to know if I have a problem I should be concerned with here. I changed the plugs in my 05 Durango 4.7. Used OEM Champion Copper, everything went well. I disconnected the battery during the change. When I started it back up, I let it idle for a bit. When I accelerated, it cut in and out, blew a little smoke and died. It started back up fine, died once more. Stared it, drove it around and it ran fine, no check engine light. Is this something I should be concerned with or did it only run rough because I disconnected the battery and it had to "relearn" the programing? Thanks!

I would say you are correct. Sensor input was being adjusted/learned, etc. Just make sure the battery is connected tightly and is holding a good charge under load.
