have no clue what the problem is, but for some reason my windows arent working on my 04 durango. went to the store yesterday afternoon, put the window down about an inch to vent the interior as i went inside the store, did some grocery shopping with the wife, came back out to go home, and when i went to put the window all the way down, nothing. they wont go up or down. none of the windows work from any of the switches. i checked to make sure the window lock button wasnt on, its not, checked the 25 amp fuse in the fuse block on the driver side lower left side panel, its fine. im stumped aas to what the heck happened. anyone else ever have this happen? any ideas on what to look at? help, some one!!!

also noticed the power mirror switch for adjusting the mirrors isnt working also. but power locks are working fine. hmmmmmmmmmm

You can try to reset the system by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes,

If the fuses are indeed fine, use open hand smacks to the drivers multifunction switch checking each smack to see if that knocked some sense into them. If it does, you have found the culprit as a loose connection or failing switch. Take off door panel and R&R.

If it doesn't, check the wiring to the switch by taking off the door panel for R&R.

There we go.

Of course, after 7 years, everything should still be perfect on your vehicle.

I should have known with the double tap post after no one chimed in initially in the same day (as if we are here at the whim of all new posts to response within seconds.)

Sometimes it is too bad that autos can't pick their owners too.
