Durango Shaking a bit at idle..!
Hello all and just thanking everyone for there help always.... My durango is giving me a little shaking at traffic lights and i actually did turn off once.. I have about 75,000 miles on it and i was thinking if its time to change the sparkplugs or should i raise the idle just a bit.. Thanks for all of your help..

What engine does your D have? Could be in need of a set of plugs, or could be an EGR issue?
The owner's manual calls for plugs to be changed every 30K. if you do not idle a bunch, you can push that another 10-20K if you want. If they are original at 75K, time for new ones.
Idle speed is set by the computer, so as far as I know you cannot change it unless you have the appropriate computer to do so.
Its better to treat the cause than the symptom IMO.

Thanks for all of the help.. I have never changed the wires nor the spark plugs so i guess its time.. Does anyone have any hints on removing those plugs cause they look like a pain... Thanks and i will post back in a few days..
4.7 or Hemi? If 4.7, there are no wires. If Hemi, its not fun to change the plugs, but is doable. If Hemi, this may help, although its for the Rams, so it may not be exactly like the Durangos.
