Does anybody have any good experience with the aftermarket key remotes or should I just bite the bullet and pay out the 180.00 the dealer wants. (Includes programming)
Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of cheap aftermarket remotes be complete junk. In this case, the best route would be a $tealership remote or pay some professionals to install a Remote Start/Security setup.
I have heard some lock smith's can reprogram the key/alarmkey for a 2006 Durango anyone hear of that? Dealership wants about 300.00 to do it with new key programing etc.

Cwgrl,
If you have 2 valid Sentry keys now you can program a new one yourself. If you don't have 2 valid keys, then I would recommend having the dealer program a new one for you even if you buy it somewhere else. The important thing to remember is not to buy a key that was already programmed to another vehicle as it cannot be re-programmed to your vehicle.
