How many miles on your D? You have a rare beast there in that not very many of the 6 cylinder models were built.

The V6 engine with its 210 HP is almost adequate to move around the D's 4800 or so pounds of the 2WD models.

Since the 4 wheel drive hardware adds about 400 pounds of weight, they would not allow the 4X4 option with the V6 motor.

It sounds like you have done all of the normal routes to resolve overheating. Possibly might be time for a new radiator.

By overheating, how far up the scale of the temp gauge are you talking?

Does it do it when you run the AC? Will it overheat even when the temps are cooler out?
