Default '04 5.7L Durango 4x4 Rear Axle Shafts

Anyone know where I can find some of these. I can find the left side from the dealer without trouble. However they have eight orders for the right side on back order with none being manufactured. Thanks for all the help. Oh also, mine has the 3.55 rear end with an 8.25" ring gear.

Fasc: Thanks for the info. Able to order them from them.

Don: Bearings went out and chewed them up.

Frog:

WOW.....both axles? I guess we are talking both of the outboard wheel bearings and not the carrier bearings?

How many miles on your rig again?

At 192k the right axle wash leaking gear lube. Took its to the shop tore it down and the right axle was chewed up completely. No race left. The left had pitting. Also, the carrier bearings and pinion bearings were shot due to the metal running through. So replaced the axle shafts with salvaged ones anf had the entire rear end rebuilt. At 198k rear endd started to whine. Took it in and carrier bearings were shot again. So had its rebuilt again, this time under warranty thankfully. Also salvaged axle shafts started to pit so hence the need for new ones. But cant get both from dodge. Just the left. Currently have almost 215k on it with no problems since last rebuild. I am ordering the axle shafts and replacing them as soon as I get them.

I expect to have close to 275k or more on its by end of year. My D is a beast and worth every penny spent on it.
