Default check engine codes on 2005 durango

We had the check engine light come on last night, flashing off and on and sometimes it would stay steady. It was sometimes jerking but not often this AM it was steady as I drove it to the shop to get checked. The codes came back transmission control system malfuntion P0700 and transmission fluid pressure sensor switch P0814. What happened and what do you think it will cost, roughly?
Thanks.

Welcome to DF
There isn't a code P0814 for the transmission, But there is a P0841 code. You may need to recheck the codes. Most likely a valve body assy or if you have a loss of prime code.

How many miles on the D?

A flashing CE light usually indicates a misfire.
