Do the rest of the buttons work on the steering wheel such as the radio functions?

Pretty much either the clockspring is good or bad, and that is what the electrical connections pass through. What jimmin was trying to get at is if the other functions work properly, then it is not the clockspring.

Are you sure it isn't just low on the blinker fluid? Retails for $8.99 a gallon now.

Just give the guy a day or so to follow his dog around as he drinks coffee. Human and canine **** 50/50 mix works the best,
