Welcome to the site. I will move this thread to the second generation Durango section and your vehicle may be under warranty,

Sorry, moved to wrong section due to my brain encumbered by beer.........

Do Durangos have electric cooling fans? Are you sure it is the AC condenser fan? Is the interior blower fan switch off?

Khuzaima,

Is your vehicle still under warranty? How many miles are on it? If you are not sure you can PM me your name, VIN, and mileage and I can check for you.

A minute to a few minutes of fan run-on after shut down is normal/fine. It is designed to not sit there and allow everything to cook after shut down. If it runs for 20-30 minutes, etc... not normal.

Replace the relay and recheck.

Cheap fix, only minutes to swap and the usual suspect for items that run on and on after shut down.

Thanks all very much for your excellent input. Yes, the Durango is covered (thank God). The last answer to this thread is correct. The relay was the problem and CJD changed it (seriously a quick fix).

Many thanks all again for your input and HAVE A NICE DAY!

Am a very HAPPY Dodge fan! (I truly LOVE my DURANGO!) :-)

TC, Khuzaima
