Change blower resistor now air bag light is on
Hi
I did download the maintenance manual and recommed to disconnect the negative wire from the battery
i did and install the resistor and still the same problem and now the air bag light stay on in the dashboard and the display on the passenger side dash
when i run the blower i hear a humm in the air vent from the heater.
speed goes up and down not the same hi speed from when i bought the durango new
what's wrong

Let me get this right. You replace the fan speed blower resistor and you are still having same problem and now the air bag light is on? Have you had the durango check for any stored codes in the air bag system. I'm just guessing a blown fuse.

All was fine untill i change the blower resistor.
I downloaded the maintenance manual and it recommed to disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
I did that then replace the resistor and connected the battery cable
Same problem with blower motor so i ordered a new one.
thats when i notice the air bag liht on.
It was ok before i disconnected the battery cable negative side

Ur passenger Weight sensor probably lost it's calibration after u disconnect the battery.
yeah... you got screwed by the service manual... I wouldn't disconnect battery for little things like Blower Motor.
I afraid you might have to hit the dealership for the airbag light
