i second the wet compression test, but SMALL amount of oil.
Or do a cyln leakage test. Push air into the cyln in compression stroke, see if Air rush out from Tail pipe, Intake, or the crank case(oil cap).

Kinda odd, they never realign when I did it.
very possible the valves are bent, you should do a leak test. Since they said they miss the timing by like 5 teeth? it should definitely bent the valves. Your problem is obviously mechanical.
7 turn cams and crank came to aligment position. on monday I will perform the air leak test
did the comprecion test. Oficially is one side heads that bend valves. Now, I have a a spare head from a 4.7L 2003 will it fit the 4.7L 2007? I just whant to send the old ones to the shop and in the mean time start desasembling the head from that side. please commment. Thank you all

outcome need to replace the head from that side. valves are liking air with the dry diagnostic. Now my question is I have another set of heads from a 2003 durango 4.7L will the fit my 2007 4.7L . they look almost identical.
