Exhaust manifold bolts&studs.
I've owned 5 Chysler products and 2 Chevy's since starting to drive in 1967, an my 2006 Dodge Durango 4.7 is the only vehicle that has ever broke the exhaust manifold bolts&studs. Sounds like a factory problem they're pushing off on the owners. My vehicle has only 42510 miles, and was bought new, also the transmission came from the factory low on fluid which my dealer did'nt catch til I complained twice and had to leave my car over night so they could feel the problem them selves at which time they put me in a rental subcompact car til they fixed mine. By the way I've not had any problems other than a water pump go bad on it. That's all the problems I've had with all my chysler prods. As for my chevy's I've replaced carbs., alts., radiator out off 2 cars having over 200 thousand miles on them. So whats that average out to as far as manufactures?? Any one care to guess? Thanks for listening.
I had a 2003 Durango with the 4.7 for four years without a single problem. My 2007 5.7 Durango has had a few minor problems such as the fake 'chrome' grill bubbling, chrome clad (read fake chrome) wheels spotting, gas tank that would throw-up fuel and now the interior side of my doors have surface rust. Mostly aesthetic, but I will keep it for another few years and hopefully no major problems surface,
