Default EGR Valve

CEL came on in my 2006 Dodge Durango. Checked it with my scanner which came back P0406, EGR valve. Anyone know a rough estimate of replacing this should cost at a dealership? I am not a DIY kind of guy. Thanks!

I just had mine replaced at the local shop and I think it was $150.00 (Mopar OEM part). Go to the dealer to order the part, but have a local shop install it for less than the dealer,

may i know what are the symptoms when the CEL came on & that the EGR valve needs replacing? and typically what mileage will it be? i am thinking of making a long distance drive trip this winter and wouldn't want this to be failing on me if i can help it.
thanks.

I replaced the PCV and EGR since they were close to five years old. I had no problems with the the original parts. What codes are you showing (CEL)?

I don't believe the Durango is showing any symptoms. It's my wife's car so I don't drive it much. The CEL will turn off every now and then and then reappear. It has around 75,000 miles on it. Maybe I should take it for a drive to see if there is any performance issues.
