2006 Durango ABS +ESP BAS+ ESP car icon light comes on
Hello guys, I just have the ac compressor replaced, and the very next day 3 lights I.e. ABS, ESP BAS and the ESP light with a car icon lights came on after driving for some distance, they came on while the car was stationary with the engine running. I shut down the engine and restarted, they all cleared themselves, but again after some time the 3 lights came back on. I notice there was 2 wires running behind the ac compressor when the compressor was removed, I am not sure what the two wires are for, and suspecting may be during the installation the wires may be pinched and causing these....
Do you guys have any ideas of what the 2 wires for? Are they related to the charging system or ABS system? Because I read in the owners handbook both the ABS and ESP will fail if the charging voltage falls below 10 volts, and then the lights will come on.
I am not sure if any one has similar experience, any feedback is ver much appreciated. Cheers.

Welcome to DF
Who did the repair on the a/c system? If a shop did the repair, then I would take it back and if you or a friend did the repair. I would lift the compressor up and inspect the wires.

Dear Master tech,
Thanks for your reply, it was the Dodge main agent in Dubai, UAE.
You wont, I think nobody will believe the experience I have been through.
It started from May when the ac is less cooling, could be due to the rising temp of summer, ac refilling valve was replaced, then followed by evaporator leaking, then compressor packed up. Evaporator (July) and ac compressor (Aug) was replaced cost me a fortune of 2000 usd for all those ****s. More unbelievable, the compressor failed seized with burnt out clutch one after another, and the last compressor they replaced was the 4th ones which was replaced 2 weeks ago !!! I had ac compressor change average of 3 week to a month.... mind blowing huh??? and after the 4th compressor replacement, the air blowing from the vent smell like a chemical/ oil which is sickening, in my pursue they stripped the dash off to chk the evaporator again, and another evaporator was replaced, about 4 months after the first one was replaced.
This ABS issue comes after they delivered the car, intermittently they came on, and i was doing work shop run like a second home, my wife thought i was attracted to some ladies in the work shop !!! omg....
Today, they finally snagged the problem, fault code "c107C- brk pedal sw 1/2 stuck" was showing on the diagnostic machine, thank God...... The pedal sw was removed and cleaned, probably contaminated with oil or did not restored properly after the dash refitment. Now something below the dash is vibrating, I think I would just live with that to avoid more catastrophe they will create if i pursue that....
Nighmarish.... I am worrying still.... what's next?

Sounds like they didn't flush out the system and replace the dryer and the H-valve/expanion valve. You shouldn't have gone thru that many compressors. I'm guessing they don't know what they are doing.
I do agree with you, and I have repeatedly highlighted to them. They did replace the drier, cleaned the expansion valve and flushed the system, but I think the flushing job was not done properly, I was suspecting the did not service the correct amount of oil in the system as well. Also, they may have intermixed the compressor oil which comes with the compressor with new oil. They are the agent, I would assume they know what they doing, but after 4 compressors was replaced, I could not accept their reason of compressor quality issue. I have been doing research online, thanks to the expert on dodge forum, really helpful! Many thanks to all that posted their problem and the resolution. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the 4th compressor operation, and hopefully no more after-effect of any bad restoration job they have done, the ABS lights has not repeated so far, toes crossed! ;-)
