Sirius radio inigration help
I'm looking to add a sirius radio inigration to my Durango. It has RAQ type 6 disk changer radio, and I have the rear DVD system. The mopar sirius receiver kit will only work if I disconnect the speakers for the DVD system.(The headsets will still work)
Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket receiver I can add on that will allow me to use my speakers without disconnecting my DVD.
I am not looking for a "dash" mounted sirius receiver, I'm looking for one that I can control with my radio and stering wheel buttons.
Any help would be great
Thanks

I just went through this in a roundabout way with my Durango.
Here is the HELL I have been going through and almost done with.
I have a sony xplod CDX-GT55UIW that is Satellite ready
You could do the same and then:
-go to metraonline DOT com and put in your truck info and pick out a CAN BUS interface thingie that allows you to keep all other settings with an aftermarket head unit.
(or lookup a metra interface for factory headunit)
-Then you have to buy a Satellite tuner (SCC1 or something like that)
-Then you have to buy a Sony Satellite tuner interface
(if you want to use the SAT Ready head unit)
Its kind of a nightmare, if you replace the speakers you will see a whole new set of nightmares; including having to buy adapters etc.
Go to bestbuy let them do the home work, bring home the estimate and get on amazon or ebay.
hope this helps a little

That kit only works with radio's that say "SiriusXm ready"
I have the same head unit and DVD in the back, factory Sirius tuner and don't have that problem. You can run the DVD and the head unit independently; of course, you must use the headphones and can't use the same function (SAT, for instance) and listen to different channels as there is only one tuner. However, we can listen to the radio via head unit while a DVD is played, or we can listen to the movie through the speakers using the head unit.
As we bought it used and assume it came this way from the factory (an 06), you should be able to use the factory Sirius tuner and rear DVD without disconnecting any speakers.
