Default Transmission

I'm pretty sure my transmission went this am. Grinds when I put it back into park, but I have to put emergency brake on, or it will roll.

My main question is. On the right of steering panel is the control for the 4X4, just on the bottom left of that panel is an N with an arrow to the left to possibly a reset button. That N is now Red. Does anyone know what that reset button is for?

Thanks,
Michele

Sounds like the 4x4 shifter is out of gear and in neutral!

My transmission just went a few weeks ago, but we didn't have the problem you are having when putting it into park. But the N on the 4x4 switch, from what I've read for my '04 Durango, is to be pushed when the truck is being pulled by chain or rope. It should be in your owner's manual.
