Default Lifted my limited

well i finally got around to doing the TB lift, my 05 limited needed new shocks so i picked up some heavy duty bilsteins for the front and rear.. figured i would crank the TB's up while i was at it.. i did 6 full turns like i had read was the perfect amount thought most forums.. its almost level.. the front seems a little bit lower still but it looks MUCH better than before.. i also took off the factory bug shield and installed some putco chrome door handle covers i picked up.. heres a few pics i took real quick..

Nice D.

Off Topic: What camera and settings did you use to get the photos to look like that? I have a D50 and know how to use about 25% of its features...

On topic: Did you get an alignment after you cranked them? Have you noticed if it handles differently?

Going back off topic...

I got my D50 used with two lenses for about 400$, so don't feel bad...I didn't go to Target/Walmart/Best Buy and grab the bundle.

I took the D50 up on the flight deck a few times. I like it so much better than a point and shoot because it actually takes the picture the instant you touch the button and get photos like this...It is really hard to capture a jet about to catch the 3 wire moving at 150ish mph...

yes i did get it alligned.. you DEF NEED to have that done after cranking them.. i dont notice a much of a difference in handling.. the TB lift doesnt affect suspension really, i also put on bilsteins so it actually handles better.. it still had the stock shocks on it..

Where did you pick up your shocks? Im looking to put the same ones on my wifes 05 limited too. **Nevermind, I just found and ordered them from summit racing**

I like the way the TB lift looks. Much better than the nose down look hers has now. Maybe I will do that too. I wonder how it effects towing though which is the reason we bought the truck.

i got mine from summit too.. it should not affect towing at all.. im thinking about putting her back up in the air and doing a 7th turn... the front is still alittle lower.. not alot but just enough to bug me lol

Speaking of Bilstein's, I just put on a set. I got them from Summit and put them on in about 2 hours. I drove from Virginia Beach to NYC and back and the ride was 10x better than the stock shocks with 70K miles on them. The ride with the old shocks felt really floaty after hitting a bump. It is a firmer ride, but even the wife thinks it is better.
