Exclamation Code for Plugs

Ok. I hope I am correct about this. Engine light came on my 2006 Durango SLT 5.7 I go to the dealership and the fella tells me I am getting multiple misfires. (code) He tells me to replace the plugs. I have 122,000 kms on it. No problem. He tells me the plugs are $16.87 each. LOL ok I asked him to give me the code for the plug. This is where I get confused. He wrote down SPRE14MCC4. I called my automachinery supplier told him the make and model of the truck and he pulled up the correct OEM for the truck. Champion RE14MCC4. The SP are not on the box? It is a recommended plug on their system. Is the SP just a dealer or mopar code? Oh the plugs were $2.69 can't wait to laugh at them at the dealership. That is assuming they are the same.
Thanks for the help guys.

SP is probably something mopar relatic, all champion plugs i have ever used have started with RC (iv always used copper core plugs)

check the emissions label under the hood of your truck, it should list which spark plugs your truck takes.

Thanks. I will check it this afternoon. The plugs I bought start with RE14MCC4 not Rc? The RE14mCC4 is what the Champion site recommends for the 2006 Durango hemi. you mean RE? I can't believe the difference in price. Man what a dealer rip. The SP is prob. a Mopar stock thing.

Thanks again.

Thanks. I checked under the hood. It says plug for my truck is RE14MCC4. I wonder why the Dealer suggested SP? I have been reading they don't work well in the Hemi. Seems like the dealer messes up again. I love this site, so much information. I will stick with the copper plus. What do you think?

the RC is what my truck calls for iirc yours could likely be different as i drive an 02 w/ the 4.7, not a hemi

however it hink the RC (or Rx w/e the letter is that follows the R) has something to do with the plug material, not 100% sure on what the exact match ups are tho.
