So I was jacking up the durango, apparently in the wrong spot. It bent the bar on one side which two bolts connect to in the center, hopefully you can see it in the picture. I am curious if I now need to replace this or will it be ok? Also what is this part of the suspension called?
Looks like the front crossmember? If it was mine, I'd probably leave it; it doesn't look too bad. I can't tell from the pics, but if you think it moved the lower control arm mounts in I'd get the alignment checked.
It isn't the sway bar; I crawled under mine. It runs between the two lower control arms and is directly underneath the front axle. Judging from the pics it doesn't look to be something that would worry me. I am going to see if the service manual has a pic of it.
its a front support under the front Diff, personally id replace it because its simple a metal bar. Although it is not a main support bar i wouldn't take the risk with family in the car, Dodge put it there for a reason.
