I was looking for better brakes for my 2006 Durango and found a company on Ebay maxautopart. They have a front and rear rotor and ceramic brake kit. Has anyone used these or heard about this company?

I think those rotors will only cause problems. Stick with stock rotors and a good set of pads.

Those rotors are drilled and slotted. Drilled holes can crack. I have read slots quickly shave down a pad. Google cracked slotted rotor images.

I am going to guess those rotors are made in China and do not have the quality control that would go in an OEM, TRW, etc part. They are cast and castings can have flaws if not done correctly.

Check out this article by EBC.

I would probably spend my money on EBC rotors before Ebay rotors. I cannot recommend any specific brand of rotors because I have no experience with them on a Durango, but I know EBC makes awesome pads because I have used them on a bunch of my vehicles.

Canadian Made
I called maxautopart today and they said that all their parts are made here in Canada. They have not had any problems with these rotors and pads. I can also pick them up at there warehouse if i like but there is no discount because it is free shipping anyway. I do not need brakes yet but I will post if I do buy them.

Got to agree with Sarguy that when it comes to brakes, unless you are doing a factory engineered upgrade OEM spec stuff is the way to fly.

Why do you feel the need to change them? Do you tow a lot? Have you been having problems with lack of braking power?

I use Autozone Duralast Gold pads and rotors, and have been very happy with them so far.
Raybestos as well as Napa have some good parts also.

You can also go with dealer parts if you want, but they will cost a bit more.

I was just looking for a different look on my truck. Everyone has the same solid discs and I wanted something different when I was going to replace them.
