Default 2005 Dodge Durango shift indicator will not go into park or Neutral position

I have a 2005 Dodge Durango. I came out yesterday morning and the Shift indicator showed that it was in reverse and on further investigation it wouldn't go into neutral according to the shift indicator; although mechanically it was shifting into both Park or Neutral. Since the shift indicator is showing that it is neither in Park or Neutral it won't start. After some research on several forums it appeared to be the TRS inside of the transmission. I replaced the TRS today and still am experiencing the same problem. Does anyone have any other ideas that I can try?

Also the engine is the 5.7 Hemi

Please

Thanks Tim

Welcome to DF

I would check your shifter cable adjustment and check the lever on the transmission, it could be loose. The E14 recall wouldn't apply to your truck, because you have the 45/545RFE transmission with your 5.7 motor. I would also have the cluster checked for any stored codes.
