'04 Durango fuse mystery
As we all know, the three electrical boxes in 2nd-gen Durangos have no legend attached, or in the owner's book, for the many various minifuses, which makes quickly isolating a problem maddening. I just discovered that the running light pin in my factory trailer connector is not getting juice. (The other two for brakes/signals work fine). This is in the four-pin connector. I also tested the factory 8-pin socket and the tail lamp contact is dead in that one, too. There is a common plastic-armored conduit servicing both, so the problem must be upstream--possibly nothing more than a fuse. Does anyone know which fuse, in which box, would control current to these trailer connectors? (I found ones actually labeled for the left and right trailer turn signal circuits, but not tail lights) Or, if anyone has seen this problem before and can help me out, I'll appreciate it! (Note: the lights on the vehicle itself work fine--it just doesn't power the trailer running lights)
I had the same problem. Here is the link to the circuit diagram and specific fuse causing the problem (#9 fuse is the middle fuse of the three located directly below the Parking Light Relay in the one of the main fuse boxes under the hood)

Thank You, Thank You, Ruffian!! That was exactly what I needed and the #9 fuse was an immediate solution to my problem. I'm also keeping the link for the circuit diagram for the next time the Durango pops a fuse. Great advice (once again) from the gearheads on this forum.
