No codes have came up since this has happened. It did have a evac code right after we bought it, but I found that problem when I had the fuel tank out. It was the small hose that runs next to the fuel filler hose,it had a small split in it. Or so I guess, ever since I fixed the hose no light has been on.

Turns over but starts when it wants to
Im waiting for the next thread on this one. Same issue with my 2005 Durango. I replaced the Fuel sensor yesterday, still no issue starting. A couple of time I hit the top of the box and it started with the old sensor. So maybe it was my sensor. Let me know what you find out!!!!

Alright,....back to square one!
Same symtoms same ol same ol.
Today the Wifey calls me at work and lets me know the Durangatang is down and wont start. But its a little different, when you turn it over it starts,.....tach jumps up to 1000 rpm's and shuts off.
So had it towed home, and went to work. The so called new battery wasnt up to snuff so replaced it for another new one. Then snooped around the ASD circuit, because it acts like you have a replacement key in it without a transponder in it.(Found this out the hard way and had hardware store keys made for it. They DON'T work!)
Oh yeah also put back on a scanner and no codes. So I am lost once again......
Anyone have anymore suggestions? I promise if I find this little bug out I will write a new thread on it! lol.

Well the Durango is on its way to the local Dodge dealership. I searched around this forum some more and found this posted by DodgeCares.
I found this TSB regarding the vehicle anti theft system. It may pertain to your starting issue. It involves a flash to correct. TSB below.
NUMBER: 08-024-04
GROUP: Electrical
DATE: July 5, 2004
SUBJECT:
Flash: Vehicle Theft Security No Start - Crank, Start, Die
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Front Control Module (FCM).
MODELS:
2004 (HB) Durango
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may experience a no start condition. The FCM may fail to function as
intended after the ignition key is turned to the OFF position. This will cause the Vehicle
Theft Security system to activate. The vehicle will crank and briefly start, then die when the
ignition switch is released. If this occurs, the FCM will become inoperative until the battery
is disconnected and re-connected. This can also cause communication issues with the
StarSCAN which could render the tool incapable of providing any Diagnostic Trouble Code
information.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle exhibits the condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

So basically the dealership is going to flash the FCM to reset it on Tuesday, and they tell me it wil cost $85. So I'll post what happens after this.

Well the dealer service tech called me while I was at work today and told me the FCM update "flash" didn't help.Still not starting.
He did tell me they could look around for a couple hours and see if they could diagnose the problem, but at a $85/hr. shop rate I told him to just push it back outside. I'm having it towed back home tomorrow.
