A/C condenser fan cycles on and off...A/C not blowing cold.
Hi all... I'm dying here.
2007 Durango Limited, with Hemi motor.
Air conditioning is not blowing cold air... For a while, it would blow "sort of" cold air while I was driving, but not any more.
I put a set of manifold gauges on it, and noticed that the electric fan on the condenser runs for about 30 seconds, then shuts off for about 30 seconds...It cycles like this constantly.
When the fan TURNS ON, the pressure on the gauges drops...When the fan stops, the pressure rises again.
(The pressures are normal when the fan is OFF, and they drop to low when the fan kicks on).
Shouldn't the fan stay on constantly, when the A/C is turned on???
The compressor appears to be running constant, and not cycling.
I was told my compressor is bad... Does that sound right?
