Question New Tires needed

I am looking to replace the tires on my 2007 Durango 4x4. I just bought the truck and it has Hankook P275/55R20 Street Tires on it, which won't do me any good in the snow. After doing some research, I have seen that there are different sizes I can choose from. Any recommendations on a good tire that doesn't break the bank?

Goodyear & Firestone both bring up P265/50R20 when I search my vehicle where Discount Tire brings up numerous sizes...P255/55R20, P265/50R20, P275/50R20, P285/45R20 and P285/50R20. What would the benefits be to the different ones? I know nothing about tires other than I need All Terrain/Weather, so bare with me lol.

Thanks!

I had Goodyear Wranglers on my 2003 Durango for four years and they looked like new when I traded it in for the 2007 Durango. I then had three sets of the Wrangler on it and now have a set of Nitto after the Goodyears wore out too quickly.

Yokahama Parada spex X I have them in 265/50/20 for winter and 304/40/22 for Summer. Best tire i have ever bought in 30 + years, traction, rain, snow, no noise, excellent wear pattern, over 30k on the 22's and 20k on the 20's They look like new, all 8 balanced real easy and truck is smooth not a hint of vibration to over 100. Oh and they are in the low to mod price range.

I just bought a set of Michelin LTX M/S2 in 275/55/20. Set me back a little over $1,000. #1 tire on Tirerack in it's category, 70,000 mile warranty.

Here are the tires I only considered:
1. Michelin LTX M/S2
2. Firestone Destination A/T
3. BFG Rugged Terrain
4. Yokohama Parada Spec-X

I live at 8,500' in Colorado, so snow performance is a concern. I don't want a dedicated snow tire, so I look for the best money an all season tire can buy.
I ran the stock size 265/50/20 on my last set. Definitely go with 275/55/20, it looks much better!

Old 265/50/20 Parada Spec-X's (OEM 20" wheels). Excellent tire, I got 35,000 miles out of them. Didn't want to run them this coming winter:

Old 285/50/20 Nitto Grapplers (OEM 20" wheels). These tires were on the truck when I bought it and they sucked in the snow:

New 275/55/20 Michelin LTX M/S2 (Ram 4G 20" wheels):

Before the TB lift (the day I bought her):

I have the TB lift, which lifts the front end about 1-1.5". Just takes a couple turns of two screws, search it if you are interested. You will need an alignment afterwards. Just about everyone on this forum has done it.

No, I have my OEM 20"s in the garage. Going to see how much the scrap yard will give me for them. They are in horrible shape, the "chrome" is peeling off and the wife curbed them good.

I just put a set of General Tire Grabber AT2s on my Durango. They're rated very well for snow and have a general traction rating of A. They're a wee bit noisier than the Wranglers that were on it when I bought it, but not by much and not unpleasantly so. The whole shebang set me back about $847 at a Sears auto center and that included mounting, balancing, stems and tire disposal.

We don't get much snow up here on the Washington coast, but I do drive in areas with a foot or two of snow on occasion and I wanted these for that, as well as the bit of off paved road driving that I do from time to time. I'm hoping these will do well and will leave a review here after a year or two of driving on them.
